Stacey Solomon couldn't hide her excitement on Monday night, as the mum-of-five had a "play around" with tattoo designs.

The Loose Women star, 33, gushed she was "so excited" ahead of getting inked for the first time and explained how her brother, who works as a tattoo artist, will be the one to etch the body art on her.

Stacey - who recently revealed her natural curly hair - told her loyal fans she will be going under the needle when she returns home from an upcoming trip abroad, but for now the star is just experimenting with stencils to see what she likes.

Posting to her Instagram Stories, the former X Factor contestant shared black and white video of herself in her brother's tattoo studio, with her sibling seen popping a design on her left shoulder blade in the short clip.

Stacey wrote over the footage: "So my brother is a tattooist and he kept the shop open late tonight so we can have a little stencil session."

The DIY guru continued: "I can't believe I’m actually doing it. So excited.

"Just a little play around tonight while the kids are in bed then we can go for it when I’m back from Paris."

Earlier this month, Stacey joked she was "having a midlife crisis" as she revealed she was considering getting her first tattoo at the age of 33.

Cradling her youngest child Belle, Stacey told her fans on Instagram: "So Belle and me were having a quiet Friday laying on the sofa and I think I want a tattoo."

The Sort Your Life Out presenter then questioned herself before adding: "Am I having a midlife crisis or is it my hormones?

"Is it weird to get a tattoo in your thirties? I think I really want one, I've never had one before."

Stacey continued to ask her followers if they have ever had a tattoo "later on in life" and revealed she's thinking about getting all of her children's names inked onto her body in Hebrew.

The popular star shares newborn Belle, one-year-old Rose and three-year-old Rex with her husband Joe Swash and is a proud mum to Zachary, 14, and Leighton, 10, from previous relationships.

The mum-of-five then brought husband Joe into the conversation - revealing the former EastEnders actor has two tattoos.

"Joe's got two tattoos, but he never gets them out. I don't know why," Stacey mused with her followers.

"Because they're on my penis," Joe joked from across the room. "They're really small."

"They'd have to be if they were there," Stacey jokingly replied while laughing with her husband.
