Recovery Center facility cuts ribbon

Kingdom Recovery Center on Third North Street held its ribbon cutting ceremony

Kingdom Recovery Center on Third North Street held its ribbon cutting ceremony with the Morristown Chamber of Commerce Monday.

The recovery center is a dual diagnosis mental health & substance abuse facility that offers partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient levels of care.

Its specially trained clinicians use evidence based therapeutic modalities such as DBT, CBT, EMDR, and accelerated resolution therapy.

"Our team is dedicated to helping individuals struggling with substance use disorder as well as mental illness," said AJ Marrow, one of the facility owners.

"There will be clinical counseling, there will be group therapy, there will be doctors and nurses on staff, there will be clinical psychologists on staff."

Chamber General Manager Debra Williams gave her appreciation for the facility.

"It's a beautiful facility and we are so glad to have you as part of the chamber," she said "The blessing of the chamber of commerce is the variety of businesses we have with us and we are just so happy for you to join our family."

"I remember when you guys approached city council about this facility months ago and it is amazing to see how far you have come. I believe this facility will do great things for the community."

Marrow explained his background and how the facility came to be.

"I have been in recovery for five years. I was homeless and addicted to heroin and God set me free from that. So I took what I know and all the other guys know and we have created this amazing program."

"Kingdom Recovery Center was essentially a dream," he said. "It was a couple of guys sitting down discussing recovery and discussing mental and what we can do to help the community."

"It crazy how far we have come in such a short period of time. This facility is going to be amazing and it already is amazing."

Marrow said the center provides rehabilitation and recovery for individuals dealing with drug and alcohol addictions or mental health issues.

"We offer individualized care, customizable treatment plans, primary mental health treatment, substance use treatment, and any treatment modality you can think. We cater to everybody because we are all God's children at the end of the day."

The center provides patients with a bed, counseling, clinical therapy, and any medication needed.

The facility can hold up to 30 patients and treatment lasts 30 days. The facility will have 10 to 15 medical and clinical staff members to aid in recovery.
